Revised Remembrance Sunday Plans at St Mary the Virgin, Upchurch
The Remembrance Sunday Service on 8th November has been cancelled due to the new Covid-19 restrictions.
The church will also be closed to access for private prayer between 10:30am and 11:15am the same day to enable the following:
As allowed within the restrictions arrangements have been made for an Act of Remembrance to be undertaken as part of an outdoor service.
Regretfully this cannot be a public service open to all and is therefore limited to seven invitees only.
The invitees are the Vicar, a member of the Royal British Legion plus wreath layers representing the Church, the Mayor, Upchurch Parish Council, the Scouts and the Guides.
On Remembrance Day, Wednesday 11th November between 10:45am and 11:15am the Revd Simeon Nevell will lead an Act of Remembrance in the middle burial ground.
