Dear Parents / Carers,
Please see below information we have received from UK Power Networks re a planned road closure that could affect parents bringing children to and from school:-
"UK Power Networks have some urgent works taking place on Monday 12th December 2016 to replace faulted over head electric cables, for public and workforce safety a partial road closure of Otterham Quay Lane Upchurch is necessary.
The closure has been agreed with the Local Authority for two days but we aim to get the works completed as quickly as possible to get the road back open.
UK Power Networks apologise in advance for the inconvenience and disruption which will be caused by these essential works.
Partial Road Closure:- Road closure at the junction of Walbridge Lane and Otterham Quay Lane, 50m into Otterham Quay Lane.
Diversion via Wallbridge Lane - Oak Lane - A2 Moor Street - Otterham Quay Lane.
Extra signage at both junctions of Station Road and Lower Road will be put out warning of the closure.”
Taking the above information into account, may we suggest that parents using this route allow extra time for their journey.
