The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacons
Thursday 2nd June 2022Upchurch Parish Council is offering residents a chance to light the village beacon for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacons celebrations on Thursday 2nd June 2022.
A free draw will take place at 9:00pm on the evening of the beacon lighting.
To be chosen, you must be present at the draw on the Recreation Ground in Oak Lane.
To enter the draw, please Email the Clerk: clerk@upchurchparishcouncil.gov.uk with your name and address.
Only one entry per household. The closing date is noon on Wednesday 18th May 2022.
The village beacon was lit for the first time on 11th November 2018 as part of Battle’s Over, a coordinated beacon lighting and international commemoration marking 100 years since the guns fell silent at the end of World War I.
