Latest News from Upchurch WI

I was on holiday at the time of the March meeting so was unable to join in the celebration of our Birthday which consisted of a fish and chip supper, a Birthday cake and an exercise class, presided over by a "dishy" instructor (or so I'm told) which was very much enjoyed.

At our April meeting on Tuesday 12th (7:30pm in the village hall) our speaker will tell us about the history and restoration of the paddle steamer The Medway Queen. It would be good to see a few visitors - you will be made very welcome.

Don't forget our Quiz night on Friday 22nd April. We already have thirteen tables booked and we're looking forward to a good evening.

Upchurch WI President, Carol Williams officially handing over
possession of the first village Defibrillator to John Arnold, Vice
Chairman of Upchurch Parish Council on October 17th 2015.

The second Defibrillator has now been delivered and the Parish Council are making the final decision as to where it will be sited. Once again many thanks to all the village organisations and individuals who contributed towards their purchase.
You are welcome to join us at any or all of these events.
