Overnight Road Closure - Oak Lane

An overnight road closure of Oak Lane is planned from 10:00pm on Monday 18th November through until approximately 6:00am on Tuesday 19th, to enable Network Rail to carry out a detailed bridge inspection.

Oak Lane will be closed in the general vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Diversion signs will be in place for the alternative route for through traffic.

There is a slight chance that the works may over-run for such reasons as adverse weather conditions or unforeseen engineering difficulties.

The Network Rail 24 Hour National helpline is: 03457 114141

Surgery Patient Participation Group - Upchurch & Rainham

Dr Supriya Das & Dr Lakshmi Subbiah

Appointments

Patients who are unable to book an appointment with their local Doctor, can now telephone the Surgery and ask for an appointment outside of hours, including weekends.

You cannot make these appointments ‘Online’.

Patients wishing to see the Nurse must still go through their Surgery to make an appointment.

Patient Non-Attendance

Patients are still failing to turn up for appointments or cancel their appointment.

There were 43 for the month of September (this is equivalent of 7 hours wasted if seeing the Doctor or 14 hours if you had an appointment to see the Nurse).

Whilst in some cases this is unavoidable, Patients are asked to be more considerate.

All it takes is a telephone call in order to cancel or re-arrange your appointment.

There has been a total of 350 non-attendance for the first 9 months of the year.

Missing your appointment costs our practice money.

Flu Vaccinations - Reminder

Now available - Patients should contact the Surgery for a date and time. The Practice is arranging some special dates.

There are still a number of people who have failed to attend this year.
