Upchurch Choral Society Presents “Music Through Time”
Saturday 8th July 2023
7:30pm in St Mary’s Church, Upchurch
Entry £10, under 18s free
Upchurch Choral Society will perform their Summer Concert of a varied evening of music with a historical flavour this month.
Please come and join them!
Refreshments will be available.
UCS is also planning to hold a Singing Workshop day on Saturday the 16th of September, also in St Mary's Church - more information to follow.
They always welcome new members to sing with and are a four-part choir, that meets on Friday evenings at 7:45pm in our church.

Reopening This September - The Rainbow Café at St Mary's Church
A very warm welcome awaits you at the Rainbow Café in St Mary's Church, Upchurch, when the doors hopefully reopen on Thursday the 14th of September 2023 - times TBA.
The café will again serve homemade, delicious cakes, savouries and drinks, with a great snack deal for the children.
The team hopes to use part of the café's income to fund the school fees for five children in Uganda again.
Enjoy the refreshments, and chat while the children play.
All ages welcome.
The rainbow team can't wait to welcome you all back!

Vehicle Broken Into and Vehicle Equipment Damaged - Newington | Attempted Theft from a Business and Theft from a Shed - Upchurch

On Monday the 19th of June, at around 17:32, somebody broke into a vehicle and stole the battery and tools from Merton Drive, Newington.

On Wednesday the 28th of June, somebody damaged vehicle equipment in Orchard Drive, Newington.

On Tuesday the 20th of June, at around 12:03, somebody tried to steal items from a business property in Forge Lane, Upchurch.

Between 00:01 and 08:00 on Tuesday the 27th of June, somebody stole items from a shed in Forge Lane, Upchurch.

Drop-in Football
Free weekly children's drop-in football sessions begin on Saturday the 1st of July 2023 at the following Medway locations:
Rainham Rec
Gillingham Park
Beechings Way, Twydall
Children aged 8 up to 11
Children aged 8 up to 11 years of age must be accompanied into the facility by a responsible person over the age of 16 years.
The responsible person is not required to join in the activity but must remain within the facility during the session.
Children aged 11 and over
No accompaniment is necessary.
Rainham Rec
• 10:00am to 11:00am (for under 8s)
• 11:00am to 12:00pm (for ages 8 to 12 years)
Gillingham Park
• 12:30pm to 1:30pm (for under 8s)
• 1:30pm to 2:30pm (for ages 8 to 12 years)
• 1:30pm to 2:30pm (for ages 8 to 12 years)
