The Blythswood Care Christmas Shoe Box Appeal 2021

Bring joy this Christmas

We will be collecting Shoe Boxes again this year on behalf of Blythswood as they again take God's love to some of the poorest people in Eastern Europe.

We will be able to pick your shoe boxes up from St Mary's Church, Upchurch right up until the first Sunday in December. The church is open most Wednesdays, so you can just pop your box in, and put them on the back pew near the font - thank you.

Filling a box can be quite expensive if you put in all the items suggested. Why not fill a box with a group of friends. Or, we are always short of socks, underwear, flannels, deodorants, sweets (not chocolate and with a good date). So you could put together a selection of any of these - they are always very handy.

Blythswood is desperately short of help to sort boxes and pack them into cartons. If you would like to help with sorting/packing shoe boxes, this will take place at St Barnabas Church, Nelson Road, Gillingham, from Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 4:30pm (8:00pm on a Thursday). Saturday between 9:30am and 4:00pm. We have been asked to wear masks on-site and bring our own drinks and lunch. They are trying to arrange parking.

Please phone Ralph and tell him you are coming - this is to ensure we can comply with Covid regulations - 07847 205431.

This is a truly amazing thing to take part in - You will love seeing love in a box ❤️

Street Lighting Update - Windmill Hill

The street light at the bottom of Windmill Hill is the final light yet to be energized by UK Power Networks.

The last date we were given for this to happen was the week beginning, 25th October 2021, which has now been and gone.

Our contractor has reported a fault on the line again and will refer it to the faults team.
