Temporary Road Closure - School Lane, Lower Halstow

Kent County Council has made an order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on School Lane, Lower Halstow from Wednesday 2nd June 2021, with estimated completion by 6th June 2021.

The road will be closed outside number 44 to outside number 49, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, The Street, Vicarage Lane and vice versa.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct repair works are undertaken by Openreach.

Fuel Siphoned | Motorcycle Stolen - Newington

Hartlip, Newington & Upchurch Ward

Between 2:00am and 6:00am on Monday the 17th of May, a tankful of fuel was siphoned off and stolen while the HGV driver slept, in a layby off the A249 near Newington.

Crime Number: 46/84640/21

Between Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th of May, a white KTM motorcycle, reg number: CX20 XRZ was stolen from Watling Drive, Newington.
