Thousands of Co-op colleagues have been celebrating the £17m their members have raised for local causes across the country during the last round of funding in the Co-op Local Community Fund.
Secretary of Upchurch Village Hall Management Committee Bob Boorer was presented with a cheque for £3721.36 at the Co-op Food Store - Bobbing Corner on Saturday 23rd November as part of the annual “The Big Co-op Payout”.
The Co-op Local Community Fund
The Village Hall was one of Upchurch's three local causes for 2018/19 and so received 1% from what the members who chose to support them spent on Co-op branded food products in their stores and selected services, as well as money raised from sales of carrier bags and Co-op scratch cards.
