Temporary Road Closure - Meresborough Lane, Hartlip
A closure of Meresborough Lane, Hartlip is planned from Wednesday 3rd October 2018 for up 3 days.
Meresborough Lane will be closed between the junctions with South Bush Lane and Spade Lane, with no through access.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Bush Lane, A2 London Road and Spade Lane.
Access to the remainder of Meresborough Lane continues from either direction up to where the road is actually closed.
The closure is to enable Southern Water to carry out works to provide a new water supply.
Due to the nature of these works, it will not be possible to re-open the road outside the working hours.
There is a chance that the works may over run for such reasons as adverse weather conditions or unforeseen engineering difficulties.

Upchurch Village Hall Car Park
The trustees have considered the disruption caused by the closure of the car park, which was undertaken to restrict access to prevent an illegal incursion on the grounds. The trustees have now decided unanimously on the following:
Following an extremely generous offer by Robbie Sketchley (Kent Trade Frames Ltd) to install a height restricting barrier of 2.1 Metres, which will be lockable and movable should a higher vehicle require access to the grounds.
The existing gate will be closed but not padlocked at all times, a notice will be placed on the gate requesting that it is closed after use, unless the hall is being used by hirers.
The trustees reserve the right to close the car park and grounds should similar circumstances occur in the future.
Thank you
