Fireworks at The BarnYard

“We have decided to stop our events having fireworks, we do not want to cause our neighbours any distress and feel that we have always had a good relationship with everyone. We do have a few dates that are coming up where couples have booked and paid for fireworks, unfortunately we are unable to cancel these. Going forward no one will be able to book fireworks, I have already had to disappoint several couples who wanted to book them for their upcoming weddings – we really did not realise how popular it was going to be!

We currently have the following dates where fireworks have been booked, 9th August, 10th August, 30th August & 3rd November, the fireworks that are on the 10th August are ‘low noise’ so we are intrigued to know how quiet they are going to be and would very much appreciate your feedback on this, if they are really quiet we may be able to offer them, but we will have to wait and see.

I have asked our firework companies to inform me of any bookings that have been made direct to them (which shouldn’t happen!!) just to make sure I am aware of all booked & paid dates.

Please do not hesitate in contacting me if you have any further questions or if you would like to pop in for a chat.”

Join The Big Conversation - Have Your Say on the Future of Rural Transport - Public Meeting at UKP Leisure, Sittingbourne

Join 'The Big Conversation' at an important public meeting on Wednesday 18th July at UKP Leisure, Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne ME10 4DE between 7:00pm and 9:00pm.

KCC are inviting the public to give their views on the future of rural transport at 11 public meetings held across the county over the next 2 months.

New UBER style - mobile app and smaller feeder bus services could become more common, making it more likely rural bus services like ours will change again as a result of KCC's current consultation on how best to operate their rural transport services throughout the county.

The current Chalkwell 326 and 327 bus services are essential to passengers in the villages who don't drive but need to access GP, hospital and other public services in Sittingbourne and Medway.

If you are unable to make it to one of the remaining public meetings, don't worry you can still have your say via the online questionnaire at the link here >> www.kent.gov.uk/bigconversation

The consultation is open until Wednesday 8th August 2018.

Don't miss this opportunity to have your say on the future of rural transport in Kent.

Report Online - The Easy Way to Report Crime

Did you know you can report crime online?

It's the easy way to report crime.

Posting about a crime on social media isn't the same as reporting it to Kent Police through the proper channels.

It's harder for the Police to act on something that hasn't been reported properly.

Officers are sometimes moved to cover other areas of the borough where more crime has been reported.

Please make sure you report crime properly.

Don't assume Kent Police have seen your Facebook post.

In an emergency - Dial 999
In non-emergency situations - Dial 101
