Thank You from Upchurch Scout Group

Thank you to the Co-op for their amazing recent donation of £890.84 towards our badly needed new garden fencing at the back of Drakes Lodge Scout Hut.

We would also like to thank all the Co-op members shopping at their Upchurch store for choosing us as their local cause during the last round of funding in the Local Community Fund.

The Co-op also gave us and the other causes in our community an equal share of the money raised from sales of carrier bags.

A big thank you also to Ben Thurston and everyone who helped for their hard work, putting up the new fence.

Co-op Membership Local Community Fund - Choose Your Local Cause

Co-op Local Community Fund

Every time Members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes in to the Co-op Local Community Fund - towards community projects selected by Co‑op stores near your home.

You can choose which cause your own 1% goes to. If you don't, it's shared out between the causes of your nearest Co‑op.

When you buy selected products and services from Co-op Group businesses, including their food stores, they’ll put 5% of what you spend into your Co-op Membership account.

The Co-op, Upchurch has again chosen 3 local causes for the next extended round of funding which started on the 12th of November 2017 and runs for 11 months until the 27th of October 2018.

Our 3 current local causes are:

Upchurch Village Hall
My Shining Star Children's Cancer Charity
1st Upchurch Guides

So far, Co-op Members shopping in Upchurch have already helped raise over £5,272 for local causes in our area.

To choose your local cause and to become a Co-op Member,
