We had a very successful launch to our new association in Upchurch with 77 members signing up at the inaugural meeting and now risen to over 100.

Walk

Friday 25th April, led by Bob Boorer. Meet up at the Village Hall for 10.00am for a gentle strole, possibly along the seawall and maybe a pub lunch? Not more than about 2 hrs max.

Upchurch Best Kept Garden 2014

Judging for the Best Kept Garden will take place during July.

Judges will assess what can be seen at the front of each house in the following categories. Firstly a garden which is predominately growing flowers, secondly a garden which is mixture of flowers, trees and or shrubs, and finally for those with only a small or no front garden the judges will assess any hanging baskets or flower troughs.

The prizes, last year sponsored by the Parish Council and The Brown Jug, will be presented at the Upchurch Horticultural Society Show during September in the Village Hall and the overall winner will hold the Barabara Webb Memorial Trophy for a year.

Upchurch Darby and Joan - Easter Bazaar

Upchurch Darby and Joan host their Easter Bazaar at the Village Hall on Wednesday the 16th of April from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

There will be Raffles, Craft Stalls, Brik a Brak, Tombola, Refreshments, Homemade Cakes and lots more.

Entrance is FREE

Burglary - Spade Lane

Hartlip Newington & Upchurch Ward

Message 272 from Neighbourhood Watch

XY/012798/14: Various items were stolen during a burglary from the office at First Choice Motoring in The Oast Spade Lane. This occurred between 10th and 11th of April.
